About Us
Larcombe Memorials was originally commenced as a Monumental Business on its existing site in Lidcombe by Mr Alex Larcombe in 1870 and was later formed into a private company in 1936.
In the nineteen twenties the Management of the Business was passed to Robert Duncan who continued in that capacity until his retirement after 56 years of continuous service. He was succeeded as manager by his son Alby Duncan who was still active in the company on a part time up until his passing in 2023.
The present manager, son of Alby, Andrew Duncan commenced his employment with the Company as an apprentice in 1980 and has experience in all facets of the industry. He was appointed General Manager of the company in 1990 and the current directors have the utmost confidence in his abilities both in administration and knowledge of the industry and its products.
The company has access to people in many diverse communities, who are experienced in translating to their own written language, as well as having expert knowledge on their culture and traditions which can be so important in commemorating a loved ones past.
Our reputation as a trustworthy and reliable monumental mason is known throughout the Sydney area and beyond, because of our deep roots in the history of some of Sydney’s oldest cemeteries and our strong relationship with clients.
